G.H. Green – Jovial Jasper; The Ragtime Robin;
A. Kurtz – Palisander;
G. Rzaev – Scherzo.
2) Snare drum solo of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.
II round: 2 pieces:
1) Xylophone: original piece of the participant’s own choice (can be chosen from the list above);
2) Snare drum: piece of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.
Age group B (16 - 19):
I round: 2 pieces:
1) Xylophone. Piece from the list:
G.H. Green – Valse Brillante;
F. Kreisler/Green – Tambourin Chinois;
G. Rzaev - Concertino.
2) Snare drum: piece of the participant’s own choice (rhythmic, not rudimental).
Duration – maximum 10 minutes.
II round: 2 pieces:
1) Xylophone: original piece of the participant’s own choice;
2) Snare drum: rudimental solo of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 10 minutes.
Age group C (20 - 29):
I round: 2 pieces:
1) Orchestral Percussion: B. Lylloff – Etude Royal;
2) Snare drum: B. Lylloff – Etude No. 9.
II round: 3 pieces:
1) Xylophone: G. Chernenko – Etude-Caprice “Vinegrette”;
2) Snare drum: S. Fink - Intrada (Trommel-Suite);
3) Timpani. Piece from the list:
J. Beck - Sonata for Timpani (II & III parts);
S. Fink – Pauken - Suite (two movements of the participant’s own choice).
4. SMALL ENSEMBLE (Duet, Trio, Quartet – 1 round)
Percussion instruments only, age category for the ensemble is determined by the average age of the combined age of its members.
Age group A (up to 15):
2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.
Age group B (16 - 19):
2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 12 minutes.
Age group CD (20 - 29):
2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 15 minutes.
