I round: Two diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice, one of them – 4 - mallet solo.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.

II round: One piece of the participant’s own choice (4 - mallet solo).
Duration – maximum 6 minutes.

Age group B (16 - 19):

I round: 2 pieces:

1) Compulsory piece: J.S.Bach – piece of the participant’s own choice (Prelude, Fugue, movement from Partita, Suite);
2) Piece from the list:
K. Abe – Dream of the Cherry Blossoms; Michi; Prism; Tambourin Paraphrase; Wind in the Bamboo Grove;
V. Bondareva/P. Bondareva – Elsa;
A. Ignatowicz - Glinska – Preludes (IV, V, VII – one Prelude of the participant’s own choice);
A. Miyoshi – Conversation (3 movements of the participant’s own choice);
R. O’Meara – Restless;
N. Rosauro – Three Preludes (one Prelude of the participant’s own choice);
E. Sammut – Hombre d’Aout; Rotations (one piece of the participant’s own choice);
E. Sejourne – Katamiya; Pretexte (5 Pieces Pour Marimba Solo);
N.J. Zivkovic – Three Unforgettable Pieces (one piece of the participant’s own choice).

II round:

Two pieces of the participant’s own choice (can be chosen from the list above);

Age group C (20 - 29):

2. VIBRAPHONE (2 rounds)

Age group A (up to 15):

I round:

Two diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice, one of them – 4 - mallet solo.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.

II round:

One piece of the participant’s own choice (4 - mallet solo).
Duration – maximum 6 minutes.

Age group B (16 - 19):

I round: 2 pieces:

1) Compulsory piece: Piece by the author of XVII - XIX centuries
of the participant’s own choice (4 - mallet solo);
2) Piece from the list:

3. ORCHESTRAL PERCUSSION (2 rounds)

Age group A (up to 15):

I round: 2 pieces:

1) Xylophone. Piece from the list:
H. Breuer – Back Talk; On the Woodpile;
G.H. Green – Jovial Jasper; The Ragtime Robin;
A. Kurtz – Palisander;
G. Rzaev – Scherzo.
2) Snare drum solo of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.

II round: 2 pieces:

1) Xylophone: original piece of the participant’s own choice (can be chosen from the list above);
2) Snare drum: piece of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.

Age group B (16 - 19):

I round: 2 pieces:

1) Xylophone. Piece from the list:
G.H. Green – Valse Brillante;
F. Kreisler/Green – Tambourin Chinois.
2) Snare drum: piece of the participant’s own choice (rhythmic, not rudimental).
Duration – maximum 10 minutes.

II round: 2 pieces:

1) Xylophone: original piece of the participant’s own choice;
2) Snare drum: rudimental solo of the participant’s own choice.
Duration – maximum 10 minutes.

Age group C (20 - 29):

I round: 2 pieces:

1) Xylophone: G. Chernenko – Etude - Caprice “Vinegrette”;
2) Snare drum: rhythmic piece from the list:
S. Fink – Trommel - Suite (two movements of the participant’s own choice);
B. Lylloff – Etude No. 9.

II round: 3 pieces:

1) Xylophone: original piece of the participant’s own choice;
2) Snare drum: rudimental solo of the participant’s own choice;
3) Timpani: S. Fink – Pauken - Suite (two movements of the participant’s own choice).
Duration – maximum 12 minutes.


4. SMALL ENSEMBLE (Duet, Trio, Quartet – 1 round)

Percussion instruments only, age category for the ensemble is determined by the average age of the combined age of its members.

Age group A (up to 15):

2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 8 minutes.

Age group B (16 - 19):

2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 12 minutes.

Age group CD (20 - 29):

2 stylistically diverse pieces of the participant’s own choice (mallet percussion should be used at least in one piece).
Duration – maximum 15 minutes.
