When I was asked to become a member of the jury for the percussion competition in Saint Petersburg, I had no idea what to expect. Even if there is no great distance between Stockholm and St. Petersburg, there is surprisingly little cultural exchange between the two cities. My encounter with the young Russian musicians was nothing short of stunning.

The competition was very well organized; the staff was friendly and helpful in every way.
I still cherish my visit in Saint Petersburg as one of the most enriching experiences of my career.
